First Words with Peppa. Level 2. Box Set

First Words with Peppa is a levelled reading series of Peppa Pig Storybooks and Sticker Activity Books, suitable for children who are learning to read, or are learning English as a foreign language.
First Words with Peppa is based on the Dolch Sight Words list - the 220 most common words found in children's English-language reading material. Each Storybook introduces around ten Sight Words. These words are repeated regularly throughout the story. It is through this repetition that children become familiar with the words and begin to recognise them. Any words in the story that aren't Sight Words, character names or important nouns, are phonically decodable so that children can use their phonics knowledge to read them. Each Storybook is accompanied by a Sticker Activity Book, which provides more practise for children to read, write and say the Sight Words.
The four stories in Level 2 are: Grandad Dog's Garage, Mr Fox's Van, Pancakes, and The Best Pet. They introduce the following Sight Words: all, am, are, at, ate, be, black, brown, but, came, did, do, eat, four, get, good, have, he, into, like, must, new, no, now, on, our, out, please, pretty, ran, ride, saw, say, she, so, soon, that, there, they, this, too, under, want, was, well, went, what, white, who, will, with, and yes.
