Enquire Within Upon Everything. The Book That Inspired the Internet

'When I first began tinkering with a software program that eventually gave rise to the idea of the World Wide Web, I named it Enquire, short for "Within upon Everything"... the book served as a portal to a world of information - Tim Berners-Lee, inventor of the Internet.

This Victorian miscellany was first published in 1857 and was intended to answer any query that a family might have about domestic problems. It proved so popular that it went through hundreds of editions and sold millions of copies worldwide.
