Small apartments with all the comforts of a larger unit or even a house - that's the dream of designers and their clients alike. Especially when the available space is scant, what is needed is inventiveness and a creative design on the part of the architect. The 20 projects presented in this book offer a whole variety of solutions: apartments in which light, proportions and color defy the impression of spatial confinement, or whose ambient is created with particular motif or an unusual material, sometimes also with a sculptural form or a special detail.
